Both were unsuccessful. I’ve run the various “Fix its” with absolutely no results. I’ve edited the registry, renamed and deleted the Microsoft Help folder, and deleted all temp files with no results. I’ve browsed the forums, tried the fixes, and nothing. I previously had Microsoft Office installed on my machine. One day it stopped working, unexpectedly, and prompted me to repair it in Control Panel.

When I went to repair it via the installer, it would fail. I also could not uninstall it. I had to use a Microsoft “Fix it” to uninstall Office I then deleted all trace folders, etc. Since then, I have not been able to install Office My computer is far above the system requirements, I am running Windows 8, and used to run Office programs just fine.
